Overview
Electromagnetic Acoustic Testing (EMAT) generates ultrasonic waves in the material itself, without a liquid couplant. That non-contact approach is effective on coated, scaled or high-temperature surfaces and is used for crack detection, thickness measurement and guided-wave screening.
