GECRIC Enhances Learning Environment at Manyean Presby School Through CSR Initiative

As part of our commitment to community development and social responsibility, we recently undertook a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project at Manyean Presby School, aimed at improving the learning environment for students and enhancing safety within the school premises.

The initiative focused on several key improvements within the school. Gecric repainted one of the school blocks to provide a more conducive and welcoming learning environment for pupils and teachers. In addition, the company addressed a safety concern by covering an open gutter within the school compound which previously posed a hazard to students and staff.

Another major highlight of the project was the renovation of the school library, aimed at promoting reading and learning among the pupils. To further support educational development, Gecric also donated a selection of books to enrich the school's library resources and encourage a culture of reading among the students.

To mark the completion of the project, we organized a brief ceremony at the school, bringing together key stakeholders from the education sector, the church, the local community, and some valued clients of the company.

The Chief Executive Officer of Gecric Asset Integrity Management Ltd led the delegation and performed the official ribbon-cutting ceremony to commission the renovated facilities.

Among the distinguished guests present at the event were:

• The Headmistress of Manyean Presby School
• Representatives from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, including Rev. Samuel Nortey, District Minister of Emmanuel Congregation, Tema New Town

The Tema Metropolitan Education Office was also represented by Mrs. Christiana Ablakwa, Deputy Director for Supervision and Monitoring, alongside Mr. William A.S. Obeng Snr, Language Coordinator, and Mrs. Rita Brown Fletcher, SISO Representative.

Representatives from Peak Consult, who supported aspects of the project, included Joan Asase and Kenneth Andoh, both Project Leads.

Gecric was also pleased to host one of its valued clients, Mr. Gorkeh Dzivenu of Tema Fuel Company, who joined the celebration in support of the initiative.

The event was further graced by the School's PTA Chairman, his Vice Chairman, and several parents, who expressed their appreciation for the improvements made to the school's facilities.

Speaking during the ceremony, representatives of the school and community commended us for this meaningful contribution toward improving the educational environment for the students. The project reflects the company's dedication to supporting communities and investing in initiatives that promote education, safety, and long-term development.

Our live demonstration, led by experts from our partner ICR, gave industry participants first-hand insight into how Quickflange delivers efficiency, reliability, and cost savings in both offshore and onshore applications.

Looking ahead, as we celebrate a decade of integrity, our focus remains clear — expanding regional partnerships, integrating AI-driven IMR systems, and strengthening local capacity to shape the future of energy excellence in Africa.
